Whether you want to join our chapter or participate in a cleanup, your involvement with us lends an important hand in tackling issues affecting our oceans, rivers, and beaches. Below are some ways to get involved.
1. SIGN UP FOR OUR EMAILS
2. COME TO A MEETING
Our chapter meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month. All are welcome to join. It’s a great way to hear what’s happening with our chapter, share your own ideas, and connect with other like-minded water-enthusiasts in the DC area! Please follow us on Facebook or Instagram to stay updated on upcoming meeting details.
3. VOLUNTEER AT AN EVENT
The DC Chapter hosts clean-ups, movie nights, lectures, meetings, beach gatherings, and much more. There is always something going on, and we’re always looking for people to help out with events and programs. And if you’re interested in helping out or have your own ideas to make events better, we want to hear from you. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to connect with us.
4. GATHER INFORMATION
We are always trying to keep up to date with the latest information about regional and national issues. Maybe it’s a questionable environmental bill going through Congress, or news of a municipal sewer flowing into a small creek. Whatever issues arise, we’d like to hear about it. You can be our eyes and ears and put the spotlight on water quality problems and/or solutions. You can e-mail us with the news.
