Ban The Foam

A quarter of all trash currently found in the D.C. metro area’s local rivers is expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam, often referred to as Styrofoam. Banning EPS foam at the source prevents it from harming our rivers.

On July 14, 2014, the D.C. City Council unanimously voted to pass a bill that bans D.C. eateries from using EPS foam.
